3. 2024 Chevy Silverado EV (Avalanche)
General Motors made a lot of fans happy with the unveiling of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV (Avalanche). It was addressed at the CES 2022 that GM is going to make an all-electric truck which is great news. Another step towards going fully green and saving the environment. But what makes this truck special is the midgate feature. We aren’t sure why this truck isn’t simply called Avalanche as the 2 decades old truck where this feature was first seen. But the midgate allows the truck to fold the backbench and extend the cargo bed.
It can be extended by a whole 5 feet which is amazing, it basically doubles the cargo bed length. But there is more space for cargo in the so-called frunk. It is where the engine should be. And since this is an electric truck and doesn’t need all the gas-guzzling components, we get more trunk space. It is rumored that it can fit three large suitcases.
On the inside, the truck is looking very stylish and modern. Leather and suede upholstery with contrast stitching. Heated and ventilated seats to improve comfort. It can seat five people comfortably as it has legroom and headroom to go around. The all-digital dashboard is a huge improvement and a nice step toward the future. It has 10 outlets and is able to charge another electric vehicle.
On the outside, we can see huge aluminum alloy wheels that shave off some weight and possibly increase the range of the truck. The range for a single charge is 400 miles per report. And it has a fast-charging feature which allows 100 miles on a 10-minute charge. Headlights are also redesigned and they are very thin with the latest LED technology.
