2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak: News, Specs, Price

2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak: Design

The 2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak doesn’t bring many visual enhancements for the new model year and that was expected after the last refresh. Buyers will get a new 18-inch wheel design for the new model year while other aspects of the model’s appearance continue in the same form.

The Ranger Wildtrak builds its unique identity with some standout elements compared to the rest of the lineup. The Wildtrak version uses the masculine appearance of the base Ranger and adds some sporty details to enhance an impression. The model gets a specific paint job combined with the decals on the side panels but it also highlights its uniqueness with the dark grey finish on the grille, fog light bezels, side mirrors, and rear step bumper. Adding to the model’s appearance are also distinct 18-inch alloy wheels and sports bars.

Interior:

Inside the cabin, the Wildtrak gets also attention with some unique design touches and flashy elements.

The model comes with the part-leather seats with Wildtrak signature adorned by the orange stitching throughout the cockpit. There is also a leather treated multi-functional steering wheel. The dark grey accents appear also in the cabin like it is the case on the model’s exterior.

The Wildtrak scores high with seat comfort and interior functionality as well. There are several storage compartments and high-volume center console.

Equipment:

The Ranger Wildtrak isn’t also skimpy on the available equipment. We mentioned unique 18-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, specific exterior accents, sports elements and more. There are also some modern tech and high comfort features in the cabin.

The Wildtrak comes with an 8-inch center touchscreen interface with Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility. There are also several USB ports and a strong six-speaker sound system. In front of the driver is a clear digital instrument cluster displaying driving and navigation data as well as a digital speedometer. This popular trim includes also the heated front seats and electric adjustment for the driver’s seat.

Ford also equips the Ranger Wildtrak with various safety equipment and it has some class-exclusive features. The model relies on automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert and lane-keeping assist. There are also parking sensors and semi-auto parking system but the model lacks blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert.
