The American manufacturer decided it was time to bring the Super Sport Package back with the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. For a while, this beloved package wasn’t available for Chevy trucks, but that might not be the case anymore. Soon Chevrolet is going to launch a new line of Silverado pickups equipped with the Super Sport package.
This means all the latest goodies and amenities that will change the overall look and feel of the pickup. Making it look less like a workhorse and more like an everyday vehicle is something that Chevy should have done a long time ago. Pickups are long past the time when they were simple working mules. People enjoy driving them for their everyday activities. They are a style statement nowadays.
Manufacturers picked up on this trend and are trying to capitalize. The Super Sport package is pretty much all you need to be wrapped up in a lovely pickup package. Reports indicate that the 2023 Super Sport Silverado will deliver more power. It will be interesting to see if that power originates from a gas-guzzling engine or an electric one (like the upcoming Silverado EV).

Interior
The interior is screaming with modern features and the newest technology. This is a great step towards making the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS look like the futuristic truck it is trying to be. Inside there are no indications of saving money on anything honestly.
Right off the bat, we can see the newly designed seats. They are filled with top-quality cushions to help you enjoy long rides. You can choose between fabric, suede, and leather. Contrast stitching is available along with a large choice of colors. This allows for some serious customization and personalization. It would be a great addition if those same seats were heated and ventilated. This would keep them fresh and dry and give passengers a real feel of comfort.
Chevy is trying really hard to make the interior of the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS feel like a first-class ride. There are no official reports about the layout of the new Silverado. But most probably it will be a full-size truck, meaning that it will seat five passengers without any issues.
But there will be different cab versions available, that much is certain.
Front Panel and Infotainment System
The instrument panel will probably get a refresh as well. No point in keeping the old design in the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. So expect to see a lot of chrome, perhaps some wooden accents along with the instrument panel and around the cabin. The dashboard might be all-digital, many manufacturers have already made that step towards the future look of the cabin.
Exterior
On the outside, we can see the fresh and contemporary design of the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. Designers decided to make the truck less blocky and gave it more curves. This has many reasons behind it, one of those reasons is simply stylistic.
Nowadays trucks look more aggressive and maddening with their sleek curvy design. It does make it a bit more aerodynamic and ergonomic. This further helps with fuel economy and the stability of the truck itself. Something we like to see in pickups or vehicles altogether.
The truck will reside on huge wheels, we heard it might be 33 inches with tires. Whether those tires will be beefy and off-roading centered remains to be seen. Wheel rims will be made from aluminum alloy. This shaves off some weight which is always appreciated. The all-new Silverado SS has a regular-size cargo bed so you can expect to be able to put some furniture in the back without issues. Tailgate has numerous options, which is common nowadays.
The front fascia is refreshed as well. The new 2023 Chevy Silverado SS will be getting a huge front grille that is wide and high. This gives a great look to the already stylistic Silverado. There is a well-known Chevy sign in the middle.
Grille is also made from aluminum to shave off weight and improve power to weight ratio. Something we can never get enough of in a pickup. This increases performance and gives better towing and hauling capacity, again something that is highly needed in a pickup. Also, it increases air circulation to ensure there is no overheating under the hood.
Speaking of the hood, it is quite sporty with the new Super Sport treatment.
2023 Chevy Silverado SS Engine Options, and Specs
With nothing yet official we can only speculate about what will be under the hood of the new 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. But the new Silverado has some nice options available.
Namely, the 6.2 liter V8 that is powering the standard model. This produces 420 horsepower. Super Sport might get a better version of it that can dish out more horses and spin the wheels faster. Adding a supercharger to the engine should do the trick.
Also, there is a hybrid version on the table. It is proven that hybrid systems can produce some serious power and also save fuel. The supercharged version should produce around 700 horsepower. All versions would be available with all-wheel drive and 10-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Chevy Silverado SS Price and Release Date
We are still waiting on the official news, but until then we can only speculate that the price will be upwards of $40.000. But projects were known to be scrapped before, so take everything with a grain of salt.
If it does happen we should see the brand new 2023 Chevy Silverado SS on the road in the first half of 2023.
