All-Electric Navara is Happening
The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Navara won’t change in terms of conventional engine options. This pickup will continue to offer a 2.3-liter diesel with 210 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A 2.5-liter gasoline engine is also in the offer, as always before. Some speculations are predicting a new and larger 3.0-liter diesel powertrain. However, this is not official yet.
It seems like Nissan prepares a complete game-changer. Yes, we are talking about electrified Navara. The Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance is reportedly working on a new all-electric powertrain option. Right now, we don’t know the specs, but Navara will borrow this setup from the next-gen Trifon model. A hybrid powertrain could also be in the mix. The all-new 2022 Nissan Navara will hit the markets in the second half of 2021. The price will start at around $29,000 and the rumored all-electric variant will surely cost around $40,000. The production already started in South Africa and the Japanese manufacturer will reveal more details in the coming months.
