2021 Nissan Navara: Changes, Specs, Price

While the full-size trucks are the best-selling vehicles in the US, the focus of the truck hungry buyers outside the States is on the smaller, mid-size models. The trucks are becoming more sophisticated and capable but the carmakers have also an eye on the electrification. The global market received recently the all-new Mazda BT-50 and Isuzu D-Max which share most of the hardware mixed with distinctive styling and in-cab design.

Mitsubishi and Nissan joined also their forces and the new-generation Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton will share chassis, powertrains and tech features.  The redesigned Nissan Navara will also offer conventional and electrified powertrains. However, the all-new Navara is still about two model years from the launch and to keep it relevant Nissan is bringing an updated 2021 Nissan Navara.

The upcoming Nissan Navara will go on sale with the updated front-end design and some modifications on its rear side. The truck could also come with some chassis upgrades while reports indicate that there shouldn’t be any significant powertrain change. There will be also some mixing in the equipment availability. Nissan will also increase the model’s price slightly.

Nissan is also working on the US-spec Frontier version and it comes all-new for the 2021 model year. The new Frontier won’t use Nissan’s global platform rather the upgraded F-Alpha unit from the current version. The truck comes also with the redesigned cabin and modernized exterior. The power will provide a last year introduced 3.8-liter V-6 engine paired with the 9-speed automatic transmission.
