2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Redesign – Pricing and Styling Updated

One of the most popular trucks is being redesigned and the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 is about to introduce a fresh look. The engine range stays the same. Buyers accepted a turbo-four as the base configuration, but the Sierra still misses something between this one and a V8. Diesel is still there, but General Motors is likely to drop it for the 2025 YM. An electric truck is announced, but the release date is not set yet. There are Hummer and Silverado EVs by the same truckmaker if you are interested in such drivetrains.

The main changes will happen on the body. The truck is getting updated headlights and grille, which are the keys for every redesign. The size stays put. Sierra offers plenty of space in four-door cabin configurations. The base version is going to be packed with more options, while the high-end Denali truck is a luxury model. AT4X is one of the best off-road packages in the market.

2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Changes

The current styling is dating from 2019, when the new Sierra debuted. Small updates happened since then, but the first serious facelift is coming for the 2025 YM. General Motors is focused on electrification, but things happening in the truck segment made the company shift attention to the pickup truck class. Toyota Tundra is all-new and Ford F-150 is also coming out with big updates.

General Motors is not running tests yet, so we can’t predict changes on the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500. Yukon SUV is also being updated, so the two vehicles could share some styling solutions.

Under the Hood

A 2.7-liter turbo-four is something new we see on half-ton trucks. Both GM and Ford are experimenting with these configurations, and so far, truckers are not complaining. Well, most of them skipped a V6 while it was available and picked a V8. There are two big units available, a 5.3-liter and a 6.2-liter. Duramax diesel provides the best mileage and towing capacity. Due to pollution policies, the engine might be discontinued already in 2025. The company is also working on the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 EV. The truck is announced and we expect it next year. Ford has already started the production of its F-150 Lightning.

2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Trim Levels

The truck is not offering too many pre-made packages, but the list of optional upgrades is really long. The base version is nicely equipped and costs $40,000. The SLT is the favorite model. It offers cool upgrades and won’t cost a fortune, like Denali Ultimate. The luxury truck comes with a $90,000 price tag. You will get the best features GM has to offer – Super Cruise, HUD, large screens, premium audio, bedliner, massaging seats… Regular Denali trim can save you money and keep the truck in the luxury segment.

The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X is the new off-road configuration, the next level of upgrade for the AT4. Both versions will still be in the fleet. The AT4X costs $15,000 more and adds the best off-road goodies. The AT4 is also a good 4×4 configuration with skid plates, recovery hooks, a special suspension setup, cool interior details and an upgraded safety package.
