2023 Ram 1500 Rumors: News, Redesign, Changes

One of the most popular trucks in its class is getting a revamp, entering the all-new 2023 Ram 1500. The current Ram 1500 is a bit dated and has been topping sales charts. With most of its competitors getting remodels and revamps it is time for Ram to follow suit. Several years are ages when it comes to cars and technology, every year something new is invented and patented.

So changes in current models are needed to stay relevant. The current version is already luxurious,  with a nicely styled interior, somewhat modern exterior, and good powertrain. It is a light-duty pickup truck so the 2023 Ram 1500 isn’t going to haul a lot of weight or transport big cargo. But it is most certainly able to do so when the occasion arises.

What kind of changes did Ram make to their flagship truck? Read on to find out more about the upcoming remodel of the 2023 Ram 1500.

Interior

The all-new 2023 Ram 1500 is getting some much-needed changes on the inside. It did have one of the best-designed interiors, but that might not be the case as of recently. So the manufacturer is making moves in order to change up the interior and stay ahead of the competition. The cabin was one of the most spacious ones among the competition. But no reason for Ram to not make it even bigger and more spacious. This will allow for some ever-needed legroom. It can sit five people comfortably.

There are several cab options, so it will depend on your needs what type of Ram 1500 you will choose. The cabin is as big as 50 cubic feet, but Chevy and GMC offer 89 cubic feet, so look out for Ram to try and gain on them. As far as materials are concerned, expect only the top-of-the-line materials. Leather is a must, and hopefully, the seats are quality made so we don’t get rips after a while. Also, it would be nice if the wheel wasn’t pure plastic. In order to give drivers a sense of luxury some tapestry or cloth on the steering wheel is a must.

Expect a central infotainment system. A big cabin means everything inside it should be big. So a 12-inch touchscreen in the middle is expected. Standard connectivity with Bluetooth. Also, we should be getting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An improved surround system is announced as well so music aficionados will be able to enjoy some quality tunes on their long drives.

All current trucks have some sort of driver’s aid installed. So hopefully Ram will put some safety measures in the 2023 Ram 1500 to ensure driver safety and save some lives. Big changes on the big truck, shouldn’t affect the price in a big way since most pickups are remodeling their interiors as well. But these changes are sure to make buyers happy and give them a luxurious interior everyone wants in their pickup.

Exterior

Although the 2023 Ram 1500 is a model that takes a lot after previous versions, this doesn’t mean there aren’t changes on the outside. The body style and the whole look of the vehicle should get an uplift. There is a need for modernization, so expect more angles and a more aggressive look. The manufacturer is not saving money on the redesign of the exterior.

There is word about a much bigger grille, this is due to several reasons. A bigger grille means a bigger air intake, which in turn cools the engine better. This will allow for a heavier workload and push the engine to its limits. Also, this will make the 2023 Ram 1500 pickup look more aggressive and modern since bigger grills are absolutely popular at the moment. Hood could use some makeup as well. Making it more sporty and giving a bit of madness to it should be a focus point. No one likes plain hoods and tasteless exteriors.

Wheels are 18-inch aluminum or steel alloy. It is up to the buyer to decide, but both materials are sturdy enough to endure a punishment pickup trucks can go through. But aluminum is lighter and could reduce the weight of the car significantly. This matters even more with bigger trucks since it can improve their power to weight ratio and make them go faster and accelerate better.

The all-new 2023 Ram 1500 has the biggest wheelbase in its class, right in front of Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado 1500. This will help a lot with driver control and steering, and it will improve the driving experience overall. The headlights are becoming smaller on the 2023 Ram 1500. This will give it a sleek and modern look, and using LED lights will decrease power consumption.

2023 Ram 1500 Engine

According to rumors, there are some changes under the hood as well. The upcoming new Ram 1500 is going to be powered by a V6 or a V8 gas powertrain. We heard through the grapevine about a 48-volt hybrid system and an all-electric vehicle.

The V6 version is a 3.6-liter gas guzzler that can produce up to 305 horsepower and spin the wheel up to 270-pound feet of torque. This is more than enough to help you get out of trouble if you get stuck in the wild.

Also, there is a 5.2 liter 395 horsepower version with 310-pound feet of torque.

But the EV version is where it gets interesting. Ram is trying to make the 2023 Ram 1500 go faster and further than its competitors. It will have a fast charging option with up to 150 kW. Ram is shooting for the 500 miles range. Its competitors are around 300-350 miles on a single charge.

A diesel version is also available with a 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel that can spin the wheels with a force of 260 horsepower and 480-pound feet of torque.

The TRX version is the most powerful, with the 6.2 liter V8. This beast produces 702 horsepower.

2023 Ram 1500 Price and Release Date

Ram is going to release the new 2023 Ram 1500 sometime at the end of this year, probably in the fall. Most cars roll products of the production line at that time of the year so it is great timing.

The basic trim will cost around $33.000 and with the hybrid version or better trims, it can shoot up to $60.000.

  • I’m not sure how retarded you have to be to only offer dark interiors in a pick up truck. Have any of you morons ever actually taking your pick up truck on a dirt road with the windows down? Another words driven a truck like a truck? I certainly hope the person that made the decision to only offer black interior gets fired on the spot. I will not purchase another new Ram until a tan leather interior is offered!

    • i agree. i have a 1500 larimie quad cab with tan interior that seats 6. i have 10 grandchildren and i need the same thing. i will be trading within 2 years. if ram wants to keep their bulshit of having no choice of inside color or quadcab option i will for shur for the first time in my 55 years of driving go to another brand. when i go in the ground i will be in blackout for ever. while im here i dont want black

  • I own two Ram pickups and love them. I had planned on a 2023 half ton but would'nt buy it if it only comes with a black interior. The designer must be from Alaska, not Arizona.

  • ALL THAT SOUNDS INTERESTING. I HAVE A 2017 RAM 1500 LARIME
QUAD CAB 5.7 HEMI LIGHT INTERIOR ROOTBEER METALIC BROWN
WHICH IS MY NAME FOR THE COLOR. WILL BE LOOKING TO SELL IT
AND ORDER A NEW 2023 LIKE SAME VERY SOON. THANK YO ALL
