Introduced in 1987 as a great mid-size pickup truck, the Dodge Dakota has been a mainstay in Chrysler’s automobile lineup. A favorite amongst customers and enthusiasts, this truck has gone through three generations of upgrade and a probable fourth generation is on its way. Petite information has been disclosed by Chrysler regarding engine specs and changes. Customers will get a towing capacity of approximately 7200 lbs. The bigger engine will come as an option and it will be 4.7-liter V8 with 280 horses.
Transmission setup will probably be a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual, depending on which variant is chosen. Fuel economy wise; expect this Dodge Dakota 2018 to give around 30 mpg on an average.
Exterior Changes
As far as exterior design is concerned, don’t expect to see any radical changes when compared to this pickup’s older models. Designers will look to preserve this car’s iconic exterior outlook and build their upgrades around the central design.
