This model will once again provide a recognizable design. However, the front fascia will get various updates. Moreover, new and sharper lines will help Triton to look even more modern and sharper. The rear section will host new taillights and the manufacturer will deliver more lightweight materials as well. Overall, we can’t call this a redesign, but some exterior upgrades are major.
Modern and Comfortable Interior
The interior of the 2022 Mitsubishi Triton will also introduce some interesting updates. First of all, Triton comes with a larger display and an updated infotainment system. On top of that, the manufacturer plans to deliver new cloth upholstery that will be standard in the base trim level. New platform will force Triton to grow in size, so we expect even more interior room.

However, Pajero Sport is an SUV based on Triton and this model will get some sort of electrification as well. This is more than enough for rumors to get started. However, Triton will definitely arrive with the same configuration as the Outlander model.
While we don’t know the exact specs, a hybrid powertrain won’t generate significantly more power. The goal is to offer an efficient engine option. On the other hand, Mitsubishi will introduce a new diesel engine, for those who need more power. A turbodiesel V6 engine will generate a lot of torque so the Triton truck will become a real towing machine. Reportedly, it will be the same unit that powers the Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck. We don’t want to predict anything, but the gasoline V6 engine should remain the standard powertrain option.
2022 Mitsubishi Triton Release Date, Price
The price of the 2022 Mitsubishi Triton will now start at almost $40,000. It isn’t as affordable a truck as it was a few years ago, but Triton continues to impress. This model will arrive in the United States as well, and it is the Mitsubishi L200 variant. The sales will begin at some point during the second half of 2021.
