Ram is refreshing their heavy-duty pickups, next in line for a remodel is the 2023 Ram Power Wagon. It has been quite some time since the last refresh, and we all know how fast everything changes in the automotive industry. Power Wagon was one of the top-selling pickups on the market for quite some time.
Battling it out every year with the likes of Ford and GM. The competition is more fierce than ever and it is of utmost importance that RAM puts on their thinking cap and improves their 2023 Ram Power Wagon as much as possible. It will be interesting what kind of tweaks are awaiting us this time around. Interior changes are always probable and easiest to do. Style changes and technology advances and cabins need refreshing and updating with contemporary components. The exterior is not expected to change all that much, perhaps minor design changes, nothing drastic. Under the hood is always a question mark.
Most of the time no changes happen, but when they do happen, they are big and make the headlines. Perhaps a hybrid or electric version is in the making. Or could Ram introduce a new line of engines this refresh cycle? Read along to find out more details about the upcoming changes coming to the 2023 Ram Power Wagon.
On the inside RAM is stepping their game up. The cabin is sprinkled with the latest technology and gadgets and has the style to be the top dog. So what exactly is in the 2023 Ram Power Wagon cabin?
First of all, we have improved seating with better cushions. Lumbar support is given some thought and also redesigned. That way you can sit in the truck for a prolonged time without having any back issues. They are electric so you can change the seat settings with a flick of a switch. Also heating and ventilating is available for all seats, even the back row. Whether this feature will come as standard or will cost you a little bit is still unknown. You can opt for 100% leather seats in a more luxurious Limited trim. There are some wooden and aluminum accents along the cabin to improve luxury.
Also, there is a Limited Longhorn which screams the southwest US. It has a brown leather interior with filigree stitching along with wooden accents. This is super luxurious and will of course cost you an arm and a leg. The back row can be adjusted. It can be three seats, it can be 2 seats with space between. They are of course foldable for extra cargo space. There is plenty of legroom and headroom for 5 passengers so don’t worry. There are also clever storage boxes around the cabin so everyone can easily pack their belongings.
Charging stations are also available across the interior. The Rearview mirror is digital and has an LCD monitor which shows the rear-facing camera in real-time for your towing needs. The air filtration system is improved and cools the cabin much quicker. If you plan on going off-roading you have the option to see your Off-Road Pages on the infotainment system. That way you can change driving settings and check your axis and wheels.
The new 2023 Ram Power Wagon has a Uconnect 5C system with a massive touchscreen. We guess around 15 inches. With multiple profiles, it offers customization to its maximum. It has all the connectivity you might need. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth along with wifi hotspot. Satellite navigation is present as many other useful apps.
Ram could implement hands-free driving software of their own. GM and Ford have already done it and you can unwind behind the wheel, but not doze off completely. You just have to be on pre-mapped roads and enjoy the drive. Safety measures are present, we get lane change alert, pedestrian detection, collision alert, and automatic braking along with many other features. There is a 900 wat Harman Kardon Premium audio system in the cabin of the 2023 Ram Power Wagon. It features 17 powerful speakers. Truly a luxurious experience in the cabin.
On the outside, the 2023 Ram Power Wagon looks mad and aggressive. It has a huge front fascia with big prominent bumpers. Mesh lets a lot of air under the hood so you can push the truck to its limits without worrying about overheating. Headlights are big and linear, using LED technology they offer amazing visibility. Ride height is increased so nothing gets stuck under the Power Wagon.

There are lights on top of the truck as well. There are 20-inch wheel rims from aluminum on offer. They look even beefier with off-roading package tiers. We have only Crew cab as options for the RAM 2500 Power Wagon. The cargo bed is equipped with lights and outlets for charging and making tailgating easier. There are also running boards for entering the car which lower and goes up automatically.
Only one option is confirmed for powering the 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. We have a 6.4 liter Hemi V8 that uses gasoline. It produces 410 horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. It has an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Another option that could be on the offer is the 6.7 liter Cummins turbo-diesel with 400 horsepower and 900 pound-feet of torque. Also, with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission. However, the 6.7-liter Cummins inline-six is just a rumor, and we don’t believe that the upcoming Power Wagon will have this turbo-diesel option on the offer (source: moparinsiders.com).
The hybrid version might be in the works per reports. But an all-electric variant is probably not going to happen anytime soon.
Expect to see the new 2023 Ram Power Wagon on the road later in 2022.
Starting price for the Power Wagon is around $58.000 for the Tradesman package and goes up to $83.000. With all the amenities and newest gadgets, it could spike up quickly.
