The Ram 1500 is one of the top-selling trucks on the market and with good reason. It is capable, it has good styling to go with it and it has the durability to top everything off. It isn’t a simple workhorse, it is a stylish truck that does many things. A Swiss-army knife among trucks. The upcoming Limited Elite edition is not the first time this trim has been used.
But the trim in question is taking the RAM 1500 to a new luxurious level. It puts top quality materials along with amazing styling inside and improves the looks greatly. Not that it needed an improvement, but no one complains when something is made better. On the other hand, the RED edition is centered around health emergencies. We will talk more in the article about what that means for the RAM 1500. There are of course some improvements under the hood as well on the exterior. RAM 1500 Limited Elite Modern Interior Design
There are some updates coming on the inside of the 2023 Ram 1500 Limited Elite and RED edition. The outside of the new 2023 RAM 1500 Limited Elite and RED edition come with some distinguishable differences. Mostly it concerns the coloring and some branding logos for the RED edition. There is also a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine. This can make 260 horsepower but 480 pound-feet of torque. More work centered and more powerful in the means of torque. It will show its value off the paved road where torque is of utmost importance. There is also a 5.7-liter V8 powertrain.
This beast boasts 395 horsepower along with 410 pound-feet of torque. This is more than enough whatever your job might be and will be able to pull a lot of weight. To top things off there is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8. This is exclusive for the TRX trim which is centered around off-roading. This monster of an engine gets 700 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. This will get you out of the most difficult terrain without any issues. This is a very interesting selection of powertrains coming from RAM. Something for every occasion. There is even a 48-volt mild hybrid system that can be coupled with every powertrain on the list.
This reduces stress on the engine itself and makes it last longer. Not to mention that it improves fuel economy. There is a certain lack of electrification that we are surprised by. Many of the competitors are racing to go green as soon as possible. But Ram decided to leave their top-selling truck with just an internal combustion engine. Perhaps the next generation will introduce the much sought-after electrification. This would of course mean a new platform and a lot of logistic problems. But if anyone can do it, then it is RAM. Towing power maxes out at 12500 pounds. All of the engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard but each trim has the option of upgrading to all-wheel drive.
Fuel Economy
The fuel expenditure of the 2023 RAM 1500 Limited Elite will depend on the powertrain you choose obviously. The 3.6-liter V6 gets 20 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway with RWD. The all-wheel drive version gets 19/24 mpg. The 3.0-liter V6 can do 22mpg in the city and 32 on the open road with RWD. All-wheel drive is 21/29 mpg. The 5.7 liter does 17/23 mpg with RWD and 17/22 with AWD. The most powerful engine, the 6.2-liter, gets 10/14 mpg with AWD.
2023 Ram 1500 Limited Elite Price and Release Date
Expect the fresh 2023 Ram 1500 Limited Elite Edition and Red Edition to drop later in 2023. The price for the Limited is estimated at around $65000 due to all the exclusive materials and technology you get. The RED edition adds another $4000 to the Limited price as it is an extension trim of the most luxurious trim from RAM.
