2022 Ford F-150 Raptor is One Year Away

New F-150 Raptor truck will go on sale on February 3. The 2021MY will ride offer optional supercharged V8 which is the highlight. However, what is happening with the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor. For a start, it is clear that this model is one year away. If the 2021MY is really getting changes under the hood, then 2022MY will probably focus on styling and its interior.

A hybrid powertrain is also another interesting topic. We have renderings of the 2022 Raptor, but rendering images are far from reliable. After all, we will know more details in the next few days once when the 2021 Raptor arrives. Without further ado, here’s everything we know about this new model.

2022 F-150 Raptor Facelift

The upcoming 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will surely deliver a couple of improvements. We saw the first teaser of the 2021 model sitting in the dark desert with the lights on. We couldn’t spot any major changes as every Raptor variant comes with muscular fenders and a sporty stance. The styling is aggressive but that’s about it.

The 2022MY will introduce more ground clearance and new running lights. On top of that, the front fascia will gain modifications, mostly around the grille and bumper. And while the F-150 Raptor provides vertical-oriented features, rendering images are showing horizontally-oriented stuff. It could happen, but this is just another speculation so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Interior Updates

On the inside, the new 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will also suffer a couple of refinements. From what we know, the cabin layout and its modern design will remain intact. However, Ford will surely deliver more features, both standard and optional. A new infotainment system is in the works, along with the new driver-assistance aids.

Raptor variant will offer a 12-inch touchscreen, which is an important upgrade. Besides that, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster will be in the offer. F-150 pickup offers a lot of trim levels. And while some of them are more premium, Raptor also adds some luxury stuff but the accent is on sportiness.

Raptor and Raptor R Specs

The 2021 F-150 Raptor will hit markets in five days. Official specs are not available yet. However, reliable sources are suggesting a standard 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. More importantly, a supercharged V8 engine will be optional, or standard in the high-performance Raptor R variant. Thanks to that, the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will probably arrive with the same lineup.

However, one important addition could be a hybrid powertrain option. Reportedly, the 2022 F-150 Raptor will offer a combination of a 3.5-liter V6 and hybrid system. Raptor Hybrid will generate around 450 horsepower and slightly above 500 lb-ft of torque.

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Release Date, Price

Logically, the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will arrive in the first quarter of 2022. This impressive pickup truck will cost below $60,000 once again. But first, we are waiting to see the 2021 model that will arrive next week. Hopefully, Blue Oval will add some Easter eggs and surprise all the fans and customers. If not, the 2022 Raptor is definitely a candidate for some major changes and upgrades.
